Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for completing a variety of field assignments accurately, efficiently, and professionally within your designated geographic area.

• Serve subpoenas, summonses, and other legal documents in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.

• Conduct neighborhood and area canvasses to identify potential witnesses and gather relevant information.

• Perform brief interviews with residents, business owners, and other individuals who may have information relevant to an investigation.

• Verify addresses, identify occupants, and confirm location-related information.

• Conduct field visits to document property conditions, business operations, or other relevant observations.

• Obtain photographs, statements, and supporting documentation when appropriate and authorized.

• Prepare accurate field reports, service declarations, and assignment summaries.

• Provide timely updates regarding assignment progress, findings, and completion.

• Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality throughout all assignments.

Qualifications

We're looking for reliable, self-motivated individuals who know their local communities and are comfortable working independently.

• Previous experience in process serving, field investigations, courier services, or related work preferred but not required.

• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence approaching and speaking with unfamiliar individuals.

• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow assignment instructions and accurately document findings.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Familiarity with local neighborhoods, businesses, and surrounding communities.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and smartphone.

• Ability to prepare clear, accurate written reports and submit supporting documentation electronically.

• Willingness to complete assignments during varying hours when necessary.

• Ability to meet any applicable registration, licensing, or legal requirements for assigned services.

Compensation and Position Details

Geographic Coverage: Assignments are offered based on each contractor's designated local service area. Routine long-distance travel is not required.
